Fall has arrived!

Things at our house are slowly improving. It seems like the accident was just yesterday, but we have come so far in the past few weeks. Matt and I are in rehab twice a week and massage therapy twice a week. It is nice to finally get the ball rolling in the right direction.
Matt and I decided to go back to Saskatoon for Thanksgiving. It was a very long drive, and we were quite nervous about it, but it wasn't as bad as we thought. We stopped at the Hoo Doo's outside of Drumheller, which was a great little break. We then took back roads all the way to Kindersley, where we stopped at a playground to stretch and relax. We had never taken so much time to get to Saskatoon before, and it was a really great change! Shane took the Friday off work, and he and Matt had a good day. We had a fabulous turkey dinner and really enjoyed seeing everyone again. We hadn't seen quite a few people since we left Saskatoon after the accident.
Matt had to go to Edmonton for work, so Caleigh and I decided to tag along! Molly had a sleep over at Lucy's house, and we drove up there for the night. It had been quite a long time since I had been to Edmonton, and it was a nice break. It was the first time we had been on the highway since the accident, and it was a little stressful!
We have been trying to get ready for baby boy's arrival. I have started painting the nursery, and we moved Caleigh into a 'big girl' bed so we could move the crib. He is getting pretty big (and so am I!), but the doctors are a little worried about the lack of weight gain of both baby and mom. We're trying not to worry too much about it now, take things one day at a time. It looks like the placenta is healing, and is no longer low-lying, which means it doesn't look like I will need a c-section anymore! I am still supposed to take things pretty easy, but it is reassuring to know that things are looking up!
Hope you are enjoying the fall weather!
Love lots,
J&M&C&B&M
