Welcome to our blog! We wanted to keep a record of our adventures and keep in touch with our friends and family that live in other cities. Matt was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Jennifer was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Molly joined our family in January 2007, Caleigh was born in July 2008, and Miller was born in January 2011. Since then, we have been very busy raising our family and having a little fun along the way!

Work, School and Play

Well it has been some time since our last post. As Jenn mentioned in our last post, I was preparing for the MCAT exam. That day has come and gone and thank goodness it's over. By far, this was the most difficult exam I have ever written and judging by the length it was the longest. The scheduled time is eight hours, but by the time you register, review rules, and write the exam it becomes more like ten hours long. I am just glad it's over hoping to get a passing grade. As for my applications, I am putting some final touches on my UofC, UofT, Western and McMaster submissions. We are keeping our fingers crossed! As for school, I am at the University of Calgary for my third year in Community Rehabilitation. I am looking forward to the challenge of these classes and supervising a group of first year students in their practicum placements.

Since our last post Jenn and I have been busy with work, school and wedding planning.
Jenn has done a fantastic job of coordinating everything for our wedding from the travel plans to the smaller details. She is anticipating the arrival of her dress and has picked up most of her accessories. We celebrated Jenn's 28th Birthday on July 31st with a quiet house gathering of myself, Jenn and her friend Amanda. I was very pleased to be in the country this year to be a part of the big day! Jenn was happy to receive several cards and gifts from our friends and family. Also, Jenn recently had some excitement at her job as Tristone solicited the biggest oil and gas acquisition in Canadian history. Needless to say, the champagne was flowing in the AM of the day it went public. I am very proud of Jenn and her hard work at Tristone. It won't be long until she's on top of the corporate world!

We celebrated my parents birthdays and anniversary with an all-in-one party at Kristin and Tony's place this past weekend. We helped out by spending the day with Simon and Jonah so Kristin could prepare the house. Jenn and I took Simon and Jonah down to the Calgary Science Center to see the Egyptian Lego display. We loved watching the boys run around with other kids and play with the various displays. By the end of our visit at the Science Center we were quite exhausted, but left a little energy for the party. Kristin and Tony were fantastic hosts in their new home and the food was great! Happy Birthday and Anniversary Mom and Dad!

More updates coming soon and be sure to check out or updated wedding site!
