Welcome to our blog! We wanted to keep a record of our adventures and keep in touch with our friends and family that live in other cities. Matt was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Jennifer was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Molly joined our family in January 2007, Caleigh was born in July 2008, and Miller was born in January 2011. Since then, we have been very busy raising our family and having a little fun along the way!

School's Out!

(This is pretty much what Jenn already wrote but I failed to realize that before writing it so enjoy!) Well since Jenn has been updating more than myself of late, I thought I would pick up the slack.

Easter weekend was a blast in Saskatoon. Jenn and I drove out to visit with her family and relax. Jenn, Angie and Linda went out to look for wedding dresses for both of the girls. Judging by all of the pictures taken it looked like they had a great time.

Wes was reluctant to take the boys away from the adventures of wedding dress shopping when he booked us a tee time at Dakota Dunes golf course but I think it was a good choice. Unfortunately Shane had to write an exam on Saturday so Devin, Wes and myself hit the links for a great day of golfing.

We got to see Jenn's Grandma and Grampa also before heading home.

School has come to an end for another term. I have finished my diploma in Disability Studies at Mount Royal College. It's hard to believe as the time seemed to come and go so quickly. I am transferring to the University of Calgary in September to complete a degree in Community Rehabilitation (B.CR) that is another two years. In addition to that, I will be preparing applications for medical schools in the fall. Hopefully I will be accepted in the fall of 2007 but if it doesn't happen I will continue on until I do.

Jenn has been busy with work at Tristone Capital and making wedding plans. Thank God I have her because she's doing an amazing job.

Mike and Caroline's wedding is fast approaching and Jenn and I are looking forward to being there with family and friends.

Another Easter has Come and Gone

Matt and I found our way to Saskatoon for Easter weekend. We left Thursday after work, and it was a very long drive. We took both cars, as Shane was buying my car and we needed a way to get home! We got to Mom and Dad's house around midnight, and enjoyed a few beverages with them before calling it a night. Devin and Angie arrived on Friday afternoon, and the guys decided they needed to go to a driving range before the big game on Saturday. Shane was in the middle of finals, so he decided to head to the university to get some studying done. Mom, Angie and I went shopping to get some much needed supplies for their new puppy, Nala. Everyone met at Winston's Pub for a few drinks and appetizers before heading home for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. Saturday was more fun than I had expected. Angie and I had decided that we were going wedding dress shopping when we were both in Saskatoon. So we sent the guys to the golf course and went shopping with our moms. I had a great time! It was really nice to share that experience with my mom and my sister-in-law to be! Both Angie and I found the dresses we're going to wear (I think!!) but neither of us actually purchased a dress. Almost everything has to be ordered in, taking 4 to 6 months, and then another 2 months for alterations, so we don't have alot of time! Saturday nigth we played cards for a while, and then went to the Casino. Matt and I walked in with $40 and walked out an hour later with $35...not bad! Sunday we had a nice breakfast and then hit the road. We had a long, boring drive ahead of us and we wanted to beat the traffic. Going home is so nice, I truely miss my family and I wish that I could see them more often. It was so much fun spending time with them, hopefully mom and dad will be coming out for the weekend in June for Matt's graduation and their anniversary.

Unfortunately, after shopping for a wedding dress, I have had this wedding on the brain. I am slowing coming to the realization that I have alot of things to do if I want a stress-free wedding. Matt is very receptive of everything that I have done, but just goes with the flow...doesn't have too much of an opinion regarding the details. I have put him in charge of the music and his outfit, and once we get the dates of the flights and pricing released from the airline, we are going to have alot of work to do. I am anxious to get everyone booked, the ceremony booked, and some of the other details with the wedding planner taken care of. Then I think I'll be able to relax...

Matt is busy studying this week for his finals, as well as trying to get his final assignments completed. This is his final year at Mount Royal before moving over to the University of Calgary to finish his last year of the program. The university has changed quite a few things regarding the application requirements for the medical program, which is great for us. Things seem to be falling into place.

Hope this finds everyone doing well, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Spring is in the Air!

I know it wasn't that long ago that I did the last posting, but I thought an update was still in order. We watched Simon and Jonah on Friday and Saturday. They are such cute little boys! They were awake fairly early (6 am!) and I finally sent them in to wake up Uncle Matt at 8. I was already exhausted! We packed up everything we could think of and went to the zoo. Matt rented a wagon, and we were off! The boys really enjoyed all of the animals, but after carrying them both around, while pulling an empty wagon that no one wanted to sit in, Matt and I were wiped. We sat down for an early lunch, and by the time it was over I think Matt and I were wearing more food than was consumed! We wandered around for a little longer until it was getting close to nap time. Both boys were sleeping soundly in the back by the time we got home. After a much needed nap, we went to the local playground and enjoyed the beautiful spring weather. We continued to play (and watch Thomas the Train) in the house until Jim and Norah came home around supper. We absolutely enjoyed our time with the kids, and we hope we get the chance ot do it again soon.

Mom and Dad arrived home from Carolina safely, with some great hockey stuff in tow. Matt is really hoping there is something there for him! While in Knightdale, Mom bought the dress that she is going to wear to my wedding. Matt and I are going back to Saskatoon for Easter, and I can't wait to see it! I think I found my wedding dress on line and there are two stores in Canada the sell this designer, one in Toronto, the other in Saskatoon?!? Mom, Angie and I are going to look at it while we're at home. I hope it looks half decent on! I was really excited to find that not only did they sell this dress in Canada, but that it is actually fisable to purchase.

Matt and I are going back to Saskatoon for Easter. Honestly, I can't wait! It feels like forever since we've been back (technically, Christmas Day...but it feels like a long time ago). We'll leave straight from work on Thursday and come back to Calgary sometime Sunday afternoon. Shane is writing final exams so he'll be busy studying, but Devin and Angie (and Bhody) will probably beat us back. It is going to be so good to have everyone under the same roof again! I'm sure we'll be able to drag Shane out kicking and screaming at least one night!

Matt is almost done school for another year, and I'm trying to decide what we are going to do for summer holidays. I would love to take a week and head down to the cabin in Montana, but Matt is taking summer school so it may not be possible. His schedule is pretty bad as he goes to school on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. It basically makes it impossible to go too far. I'm sure we'll figure something out.

Hope everyone is doing well, and we miss you all!
