Welcome to our blog! We wanted to keep a record of our adventures and keep in touch with our friends and family that live in other cities. Matt was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Jennifer was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Molly joined our family in January 2007, Caleigh was born in July 2008, and Miller was born in January 2011. Since then, we have been very busy raising our family and having a little fun along the way!

Feels like summer!!!

It was 20 degrees today in Calgary! It finally feels like summer!

Matt and I bought the kids a swing set this weekend and set it up over the last couple days. We finished around noon today and Caleigh spent the afternoon swinging and going down the slide! She loves it! Her friend Maci even came over to play tonight. Miller has his own little seat and seems to enjoy swinging as well. Matt and I were noticing how good our yard is looking already. We had the lawn arrated last week, and it is starting to turn green already. Last year at this time we had no grass and just a yard full of weeds! We are planning on planting a garden again this year, I think it will be a great project for Caleigh to participate in. We would like to buy a tree for the front yard, but still haven't decided wha tkind we would like to have yet. I think the only other yard project for this year will be the deck skirting. Matt wants to be able to use the area under the deck for storage. Other than that, I think we just want to plant some flowers and finally enjoy our space!

Caleigh, Miller and I went to Saskatoon for a week at Easter time. We had such a great time. I got to babysit Ashton for 2 days as well, which was lots of fun. Aston and Caleigh get along really well and really enjoy spending time together. Unfortunately, when I was watching Asthon, he bonked his head on the coffee table and got his first black eye. I felt terrible, but it didn't seem to bother him too much. Mom took a couple days off work, so we got to spend lots of time together. We actually took the kids to Superstore and got their pictures taken. They did really well, and the pictures are really cute. Matt came back to Saskatoon for the weekend so that we could drive back together. While he was there, we were able to go out on a date. It was really nice to go for dinner without the kids!

Caleigh has still been going to Mitchi's twice a week. Mitchi is such a good influence on her, and she learns so much there. She really enjoys the other kids, and has a great time when she's there. We have been having some problems with her behaviour lately, and we are really trying hard to correct it. I don't know if she is still trying to adjust to the arrival of her little brother or if there is something else going on. We need to figure it out soon though, I'm getting tired of repainting the walls due to her 'artwork'!

Miller is growing like a weed. I can't believe he is already 4 months old! He is not sleeping through the night yet, but most nights he is only up once. We have started him on rice cereal, and he really seems to be enjoying it. He is full of smiles and talks quite a bit, but we are still waiting for a laugh. He doesn't really like tummy time, but has started rolling over. I have never actually seen him do it, but find him on his tummy quite often after I had left him on his back! He really likes his mobile, so for Easter this year I bought him Scout. You can program Scout to say Miller's name, and he plays all kinds of music and lullabyes. Miller loves him!

Matt had recently graduated out of physiotherapy! He had joined Good Life, a gym by our house, and is really enjoying it. His back still bothers him daily, and he does have troubles sleeping, but he has gotten so much better in the last few months. He works on his elbow and his shoulder every day, as well as his core. I think he will have to maintain a certain level of fitness for the rest of his life simply to keep his pain levels manageable.

I still go to physiotherapy twice a week and massage therapy once a week. Physio is working me out pretty hard, and I'm hoping that it helps me feel better, but also hope it helps me lose some of this baby weight! I am also waiting to get into the brain injury clinic as I have been having some short term memory problems. It is very frustrating, and I hope that this can be resolved shortly.

Hope everyone is doing well,
J&M&C&M&M
Hope everyone
