Welcome to our blog! We wanted to keep a record of our adventures and keep in touch with our friends and family that live in other cities. Matt was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Jennifer was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Molly joined our family in January 2007, Caleigh was born in July 2008, and Miller was born in January 2011. Since then, we have been very busy raising our family and having a little fun along the way!

St Patrick's Day

Happy St Patricks Day!

Things around here have been good. We are settling into our lives with 2 kids, and starting to get some sleep!

On March 11, Miller was having troubles breathing again, so Matt and I decided that he should be seen by a doctor. I took him to the hospital, where he was seen by a pediatrician. The pediatrician said that his troubles breathing and his horrible cough were just the residual symptoms of RSV. Most doctors refer to this virus as the Hundred Day Cough, so I guess we have a while to go! I guess symptoms can come and go throughout this timeframe, and not to be too worried about him. It is really hard not to worry, he has had such a hard time so far.

Last weekend, we drove to Edmonton to meet Devin, Angie and Ashton. Caleigh was so excited! We met them at the water park at West Edmonton Mall. Miller and I decided not to go swimming as he was still not feeling well. Caleigh and Matt went down the slides, and rode the waves in the park. They had a great time! We went for dinner at Brewsters before checking into the hotel. It was a really nice place, with a great pool. That night, Miller slept through the night for the first time! I couldn't believe it. I kept waking up and checking to see if he was alright, but he was just really content in his car seat! I hope it is a trend that continues!

Matt and I have been busy working in the basement for the last few weeks. We had the city inspectors some through the house last week. We passed on framing and plumbing, but failed to meet a few of the new regulations regarding electrical. Last week we made all of the changes that the inspector requested, and he is coming back on Monday to check our work. Hopefully it will pass this time! We have hired a lady to mud and tape the basement, but it looks like we are going to try to hang the drywall ourselves. I know it will be a lot of hard work, but I think we can do it. It will be so nice to have this basement finally finished!

The weather here has been beautiful, just a constant reminder that spring is coming!
