Welcome to our blog! We wanted to keep a record of our adventures and keep in touch with our friends and family that live in other cities. Matt was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Jennifer was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Molly joined our family in January 2007, Caleigh was born in July 2008, and Miller was born in January 2011. Since then, we have been very busy raising our family and having a little fun along the way!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We had a great Christmas this year! Mom, Dad, Shane and Paige came to Calgary on December 20. We were so excited to have them visit us! Our little house was a little small, but everyone had a great time. Mom and Dad babysat Caleigh on Saturday night so the rest of us could go watch Ty's band perform. They were great! Sunday found us just hanging out and catching up. Matt and Dad did some work around the house while Mom, Caleigh and I went shopping. On Monday, mom and dad babysat so Matt and I could go to his Christmas Lunch with work. It was nice to finally meet his co-workers. On Tuesday, we went to a Flames game! We had a great time. A friend of mine babysat Caleigh for us. It was a really nice treat. On Christmas Eve, Shane and Paige went snowboarding. They were hoping to get a few more days in, but it has been so cold here. We spent the evening playing games and having a few more laughs. Christmas morning was wonderful! We opened the many (too many!) presents and had a really nice breakfast before mom, dad, and Paige had to leave for Saskatoon. I wish they could have stayed for much longer! Matt, Shane, Caleigh and I went over to Kristin & Tony's for a nice Christmas dinner. It was nice. Boxing day found Shane and Matt at Lake Louise snowboarding. Caleigh and I spent the day unpacking presents and cleaning up the house. Shane will be here until New Year's, and it has been great spending time with him. He and Matt have had a few good days of snowboarding.

Matt is leaving for Jacksonville Florida on Saturday for a week. He is going for some meetings for work. They are staying at the TPC Sawgrass and Matt is going for a round of golf! It will be a highlight for him. They are staying at the TPC resort, which should be beautiful. It is about 5 minutes from the beach, and the hotel has a beach club so Matt should be able to spend some time at the ocean. The weather is supposed to be pretty good while he is there. He won't have very much free time while he is there, but I'm sure he'll find time to go swimming and enjoy the rest of the property. Caleigh, Molly and I will miss him while he is gone!

Matt and I will be going to Punta Cana at the end of January! I can't wait! We got a great seat sale and are staying at the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro. We will drive to Saskatoon to drop off Caleigh and Molly so they can spend the week with Grandma and Grandpa. Auntie Angie and Auntie Paige will be helping to babysit for a couple of days, which is great. This will be the first trip Matt and I have taken since we got married, a delayed honeymoon of sorts! We can't wait! I am a little nervous about leaving Caleigh behind. I know she will be in the best of care, I just hope she will be a good girl!

Caleigh is growing like a weed. Since she started her medication for her stomach, she has put on quite a few pounds. She is eating solid foods now, but the only thing she seems to like is butternut squash! I have tried everything, but that is the only thing she seems to tolerate. She has been sleeping really well, but we think she might be teething. She has been drooly for about a month, and some days I think they really bother her. She is learning how to roll over, which has created a whole new situation! We now have to baby-proof the house! She is also rolling around in her crib, so we had to put the bumper pads in so he little legs don't get stuck in the rails! She is learning how to sit up, which is great. It seems like she learns something new everyday. It has been great to watch her grow while I'm on maternity leave. I am excited to get back to work, but it will be really difficult to leave her.

Merry Christmas and lots of love,
Jenn, Matt, Caleigh & Molly
