Welcome to our blog! We wanted to keep a record of our adventures and keep in touch with our friends and family that live in other cities. Matt was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Jennifer was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Molly joined our family in January 2007, Caleigh was born in July 2008, and Miller was born in January 2011. Since then, we have been very busy raising our family and having a little fun along the way!

I think winter is coming....
Hi Everyone,
Today was the first cool day. The wind just felt like Fall!
Matt left today for Nashville. He is going for a few days to attend a conference. It doesn't look like he will get much time to see Nashville, so I hope some of the evening activities involve going downtown! His hotel is attached to the airport, so hopefully he gets to see more than just the airport in Nashville!
Work has been very busy for both Matt and I lately. Matt has been travelling quite a bit, which is really hard on all of us. Matt doesn't like being away, and we don't like it when he's not here! He has been really busy, and had some really big meetings lately. He is really enjoying his new job though, which is great! I have been really busy lately too. The takeover has been really difficult, and there have been alot of changes. Not sure what the future will hold for me, but I sure hope things on the work-front improve soon!
Caleigh is still loving her day home. Michi is wonderful, and Caleigh has been learning so much there. I can't believe how big she is now, and all of the new things that she is learning.
We are all going to the cabin for Thanksgiving. I can't wait! We are really excited to finally get to see the cabin, and have some time with family! Hopefully the weather will be good.
Other than that, nothing too fantastic has been going on around here. We have just been really busy trying to survive since I went back to work!
Well, I've been back to work for about 5 weeks now, and it has been quite an adjustment! It had been pretty hard on all of us, but I think it will be for the best in the long run. It has been pretty stressful at the office as we were recently acquired by Macquarie Capital. They have officially taken over, and there has been quite a few changes. Most of my really close freinds have moved on to other companies, and I really miss having friends at work. Caroline will be going back to work soon, so I am excited to have someone to have lunch with every now and again. Matt has been dropping Caleigh off at daycare and picking her up at the end of the day when he is in town, which has been a huge relief.
Caleigh has been going to her day home every day, and she just loves it. Michi has been such a blessing. Caleigh really loves her, and is really happy there. Michi spoils her rotten . They go on all kinds of day trips to the zoo, Butterfield Acres (petting zoo/farm), the beach, I could go on and on. She has two kids of her own, and Caleigh loves playing with Michael and Marcus. I am shocked at how much she has learned and is progressing. She is almost walking, I would be very suprised if she didn't start soon. She can stand on her own without holding anything for about 5 seconds, and she can walk around just holding one hand. She is eating almost anything now (including things she shouldn't be!) and really trying to feed herself with a spoon now instead of just her hands. She is definately becoming more brave and exploring anything and everything. She can go up stairs really well now, and she is actually going down stairs now too! She is saying quite a few more words now, and is understanding more and more every day.
Matt has been travelling with work quite a bit lately. It is usually just to Red Deer and Edmonton, but it does mean that he is gone at least 2 days a week. He is also travelling to Nashville later this month for about a week, which will be great for him. Mom and Dad were jsut in Nashville a few months ago, and it sounds like a great city to visit. I'm not sure how much free time he will have as the conference has him pretty busy, but I'm sure he will be able to see some sights while he is there.
I got tickets to the Red & White game from work. Matt and I decided to take Caleigh with us, and we all had a great time! It was a try-out game for the 2010 Canadian Olympic Hockey Team, but it was more like an All-Stars Game!
Mom and Dad recently bought a cabin at Emma Lake, and we are very excited for them. We were supposed to go out there for September Long Weekend, but Caleigh hasn't been feeling very well so we decided to stay home. We are planning on going to see the new place for Thanksgiving, and we are so excited. It will be great for them to have a get-away so close to the city, and I am hoping that we can have an old fashioned Christmas out there this year!
Here is a little video of Cals with her walker. She loves it!
