Welcome to our blog! We wanted to keep a record of our adventures and keep in touch with our friends and family that live in other cities. Matt was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Jennifer was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Molly joined our family in January 2007, Caleigh was born in July 2008, and Miller was born in January 2011. Since then, we have been very busy raising our family and having a little fun along the way!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

On Friday, April 3rd, Matt and I packed up the 4Runner and drove to Saskatoon. Matt had to work on Sunday at a conference in Saskatoon, so we decided to leave a little earlier than planned so that he could have a day to relax before the conference. Matt spent Saturday with Devin and Shane 'networking' at a local pub, and ended up getting tickets to a concert that night! The conference started on Sunday with setup, but it didn't take too much time. He spent all day Monday at the conference, and Tuesday morning before catching a flight to Kelowna on Tuesday afternoon. The hotel in Kelowna was beautiful. It was right on Lake Okanagan with beautiful views of the mountains as well. He spent all day Wednesday and Thursday in meetings, and flew back to Saskatoon on Thursday night. It was really nice to have him back!

Caleigh, Molly and I were in Saskatoon all week. We had a great time! Saturday we spent the day with mom, as dad had to work. Mom and I met Matt at the mall on Sunday for lunch. We didn't venture out too far as Caleigh was not feeling very well. Caleigh and I spent most of the week hanging out with Mom, Dad, Devin, Angie and Ashton. Shane was able to come for the weekends, which was great. Caleigh and I spent the day on Thursday with Ashton. We had such a great time! We went to the mall for lunch with mom, and spent the afternoon watching the movie Bolt. It was so nice to see everyone and spend so much time just hanging out. Easter Sunday was so much fun. We had a really nice breakfast, and then looked for candies left by the Easter Bunny. We went over to Devin and Angies for dinner that night. Devin cooked the biggest steaks I had ever seen! Mom and Dad went to Humbolt for dinner with Grandma. Matt and I packed up Sunday night and drove back to Calgary on Monday morning. It was a really good time.

Caleigh got a cold on Wednesday, April 1. It was pretty bad. She had a really high fever, which resulted in a rash. I took her to the doctor on Thursday after a sleepless night. He told me that she just had a virus and would be better within 24 hours. Thursday night was pretty long again, but she seemed to be feeling better on Friday morning. Unfortunately, Saturday she woke up with a really bad cough. Matt and I ended up taking her to the hospital in Saskatoon on Monday night. They told us that the virus moved into her sinuses, which resulted in the cough. She actually had to cough until last Friday. She is feeling much better now, but it was a long road with many sleepless nights. I honestly thought she would have gotten a tooth from all of this, but nothing yet.

Other than our trip to Saskatoon, nothing too new is happening around here. I have been doing our 'household paperwork' this week. Caleigh needs to get a passport and a SIN, we need to file our income taxes, and we have ALOT of organizing and spring cleaning to do. I have been slowing working at it, but I think it may take awhile.

Hope spring finds everyone soon,
J&M&C&M
