New House!!!

Hi,

Sorry it has taken me so long to write another update. Things have been really busy around here.

I started my 'new job' on January 15. It has been a great opportunity for me. I have been pretty busy getting the office set up, and it has brought along some new challenges. I really enjoy the flexibility of the new job. I have been able to spend a little more time with Caleigh, which was the ultimate goal of taking this new position.

Matt has been really busy lately. He is trying to get more business in Southern Alberta, which has meant a lot of travelling. He went back to Halifax for a week for his National Sales Meetings, which was really nice. I think he would have preferred to go somewhere warm in the winter, but this was good too.

I guess the biggest news in our lives is that we decided to move. Matt and I realized quite quickly after Caleigh was born that our little house was too small. We really love this house, but we seem to have outgrown it. Matt and I started looking and watching the housing market about a year ago. Nothing serious, just trying to figure out what we wanted, what we liked. We decided to list the house and start to seriously look for a new place. Well, 5 days later we had sold this house and bought a new one. It was a fast process, and it took a few weeks for everything to sink in.

The new house is in a great location. It is in a cul-de-sac, and backs onto a green strip. The new elementary school is at the end of the park that our house backs on to. The house really needs some help though. It has been rented for the last year, so it is in pretty rough shape. We will need to do some renovations, some of which will need to be done right away. It needs a fence and a deck, and it desperately needs some paint. I think the entire house is 'builders beige', which really isn't our color! The kitchen needs some help as well. I think it will give us the opportunity to make the house our own, and eventually make some money on it.

Moving day is quickly approaching. We take possession in less then 2 weeks, so we have been really busy prepping and packing. Matt and I have taken the week off of work to try to get some stuff done at the new house. Mom, dad and Shane are coming out for Easter, and I think they will be a big help with unpacking (well, maybe not Shane!).
