Halloween is coming!
Hi Everybody! Things have been pretty busy around here lately.
I have been very busy with work. It has been a suprising amount of work integrating to the new company. There is so much to learn, and so much paperwork! Head office is in Australia, and they operated all over the world. Many of my friends at work have moved on or been let go, so that has been pretty tough. Hopefully things will settle down soon and I will start to feel more comfortable.
Matt's life has been crazy lately too. He was in Edmonton for almost a week with his boss from Halifax. They were in meetings and the warehouse almost all week. He was back from Edmonton for 2 days before he went to Nashville for the week! He had a great week, so much fun. They were able to go downtown a few times, and he was able to get the whole Nashville experience. 3 days after he returned from Nashville, he had a basketball game with his regular league, and sprained his ankle so badly that they put him in a cast and made him use crutches. It was very painful for him, and took quite a while to recover from. It was his right ankle, so driving was a little difficult! He is finally moving around fairly well and able to help with Caleigh, but he is still having trouble with the stairs, and when he overdoes it (which is way to often!).
We went to Emma Lake for Thanksgiving, and it was great. We had so much fun, but it was alot of work. Matt was not able to help with the packing or driving, which made for a long weekend for me. We were all really happy to finally see the new vacation home, and Caleigh had so much fun with Ashton! we went for walks to the lake, and the dogs even went for a swim! The cabin is so great. It is really nice to have our own room, and it was perfect for Caleigh's naps. I would have liked to have thrown the PS2 out the window, but it stayed!
Caliegh went for her first real haircut. Uncle Shane thought I was cutting a mullet into her hair, so I thought I would let the professionals take over from now on! We went to Beaners, a salon that specializes in kids hair. She was really unsure when we first got there. The staff was so great though. They let us hang out, play on the slides and in the ball pit until she was ready. She ate her snack the whole time, and hardly noticed that someone was cutting her hair! She is definately looking like a little girl now - and I secretly miss my baby some days!
I can't believe I am already thinking about Christmas! I am so excited. Matt and I will be taking about a week off of work, and we are celebrating with the Garner side this year. I can't wait!!!!
Halloween is just around the corner. We have Caleigh's costume done - she is going as a flower! Unfortunately, Matt and I havenot put any thought into what we are going to do. Ty's band is playing at a pub that night, so I think that we might get a sitter for Cals and go down for a bit. We really need to figure out what were going to wear though!
Extra love and special prayers for Uncle D right now.
Hope everyone is doing well,
J&M&C&M
