Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Everyone!
I know its a little late, but things around our house have been crazy lately! For Halloween, we went to Ty's house for a party. Halloween is also his birthday, so it gives us two good reasons to celebrate! We spent Saturday putting our costumes together (mainly just a 'shopping' trip to the Operating Room where Matt works!) and then went out as a crazy surgeon and a brain donor. Ty and Candace had decorated their place really well, the house looked amazing. The party was alot of fun, and it was really nice to see everyone again! Happy Birthday Ty!!!
Last weekend was one of the most amazing events I have ever been to. One of my co-workers, Josh, got married last weekend. The ceremony was at a church in Calgary, then we all went out to the reception at the Banff Springs Hotel. It was beautiful. Approximately 800 people attended the wedding which carried a winter wonderland theme. There was ice sculptures everywhere, opera singers during dinner, amazing food, and several bands entertained us until the early morning. What a night! Matt and I stayed overnight. Neither of us had ever stayed at the Banff Springs, so it was definately a nice treat. The hotel is rumored to be haunted, and the entire hotel, including the common areas are very old, and restored beautifully. Sunday morning we went to the buffet, courtesy fo the bride and groom. What a great weekend! Amanda made it all possible by coming over to our house on Saturday, and spending the night with Molly. I think Molly was a little upset when we left, but quickly realized how much fun her Auntie Amanda is! By the time Amanda left on Sunday night, Molly was crying at the door, so sad to see her go!
Next weekend Matt and I will be in Saskatoon. It is Ashton's First Birthday, and we wouldn't miss it for the world! I am really excited to go home again to see everyone. I know it wasn't that long ago, but it definately seems like a visit is long overdue. I think I'll try to sneak out of work early on Friday, and get on the road early. With the new time change, we are already an hour late before we even leave!
Matt and I are getting very excited for Christmas this year! It is our first Christmas in our new house, and we are hosting it this year. All of my family is going to take the long drive and come to Calgary. We can hardly wait! It will be a little cozy, but it is such a rare occurance to have everyone under the same roof that I think it will be good! We have bought some new board games, video games, and dvd's to keep everyone busy. I think the guys will end up in the mountains a few times to go snowboarding, and Matt is really excited to have someone to snowboard with! I can hardly wait. I'm going to try to learn how to bake! Probably not, but I might give it a shot! Having Christmas at our house means finishing the renovations, and I think its the motivation that we need.
Hope everyone is doing well,
J&M&M
