Welcome to our blog! We wanted to keep a record of our adventures and keep in touch with our friends and family that live in other cities. Matt was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta and Jennifer was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Molly joined our family in January 2007, Caleigh was born in July 2008, and Miller was born in January 2011. Since then, we have been very busy raising our family and having a little fun along the way!

Happy 2010!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Where do I start?

Matt, Caleigh, Molly and I packed up the car on December 23 and went to Saskatoon. I was so excited to get there! We spent Christmas Eve shopping, watching movies and playing games. It was a great day. Devin, Angie and Ashton came over on Christmas morning and we opened up a massive amount of gifts! Caleigh and Ashton had so much fun open gifts and playing with their new toys. I think it was a little overwhelming for Caleigh at some points, but overall she did really well. We spent the rest of the week hanging out, shopping and playing Wii. Mom got mario cart for christmas, and we logged many many hours on that thing!

Matt and I got a chance to go back to dating while we were in Saskatoon! It was so nice. He took me to dinner, out for drinks, it was great. We definately took advantage of the free babysitting and the opportunity to sleep in!

We went to Winston's for New Year's Eve. Shane and his friends host a beer night every new year's, so we decided to join him. We had a really good time. Both Matt and I were extremely thankful for the sleep in the next morning! Mom and dad stayed home to babysit both Ashton and Caleigh. I think they had a more exciting night than we did though. The dishwasher broke just as we were leaving. Water was flowing all over the hardwoods, but dad managed to take it apart and figure out what was wrong. While we were out, the main water line into the house burst! The basement was soaking wet, so mom and dad had to call the city to come and shut the water off. Dad then had to find a plumber to come replace the pipe. Unfortunately, no one could come on new years eve, and I think he paid a big premium for a plumber the next day! It was definately an exciting night!

Devin and Shane came back to Calgary with us to go snowboarding. Matt stayed home one day to help me unpack, and put all the Christmas decorations away. He did manage to go with them for a 2 day trip to revelstoke. Devin and Shane had to go back to work, so they left here on the 5th.

Since then, we have just been trying to get back to normal. Caleigh was having some behavioral problems when we got back - I think she missed all of the attention from grandma and grandpa! I have been in the process of moving with work, which had been quite a bit of work. Matt is going on a couple of road trips in the next few weeks, including a week-long trip back to Halifax. We will miss him!

Hope this finds you happy and healthy,
J&M&C&M
